01

Help beside the field

Hover over or tab into a tax-form field to see a plain-language explanation without leaving the form.

02

Private offline mode

Common explanations and value-format checks run inside Chrome. No account, ads, tracking, or network request is required.

03

Optional multilingual detail

Use your own Anthropic API key for requested explanations of unfamiliar fields in 12 languages.

A clear privacy boundary

Your entered values stay on the page.

Tax Helper can read a value locally to flag an obvious format issue, such as an incomplete SSN. The extension does not store or transmit that value. Optional online explanations exclude entered values and run only after setup and a user request.
