No explanation appears
Confirm the site toggle is on, reload the tax page, then hover over or tab into the field again. Tax Helper does not run in Incognito mode.

Most questions can be resolved without sharing any tax information.
A custom website is not active
Open that website, select the Tax Helper toolbar icon, and turn it on. Accept Chrome’s prompt for that site only, then reload once.
An online explanation is unavailable
Open Settings and confirm your Anthropic API key, model, online-explanation toggle, and acknowledgment. The free offline glossary works without any of these.
An explanation looks wrong
Use the official-instructions link in the panel. Automated explanations are educational and may be inaccurate on the facts of a particular return.

Still need help?
Email [email protected] with the website address, field label, Chrome version, and what happened. Do not email a Social Security number, tax ID, bank information, API key, completed tax form, or any value from the form.
