Arc & Ledger was established in 2016 by Burak Genc, a tax professional with over a decade of experience in taxation and accounting, including service as an Enrolled Agent. Originally operating as TACS Group, the firm rebranded to Arc & Ledger in 2025 to reflect an expanded service offering including U.S. business formation for international entrepreneurs. Burak spent nearly seven years at Intuit as a tax content analyst, working on TurboTax and professional tax software. He holds a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and specializes in the kind of complex IRS cases, cross-border filings, and business structuring decisions where getting the details wrong has real consequences.
Arc & Ledger's practice is led by an Enrolled Agent (EA), enrolled to practice before the IRS by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. That enrollment covers representation in audits, appeals, and collections, not just return preparation. If the IRS contacts you, you work directly with the Enrolled Agent who signs your return.

We start with a review
Before any work begins, we review your situation and define the scope. You get a written proposal with clear pricing. No guesswork.
Each service is its own engagement
Tax preparation, bookkeeping, and advisory are separate. You pay for what you need, and you know the price before we start.
Work starts after agreement
Once you accept the scope and pay the engagement fee, we get started. Your position in the queue is confirmed and you get access to the client portal.
Everything is documented
All communication happens through the client portal. Your files, your returns, your correspondence – organized and archived.

Rushed returns create problems. We take the time to get it right – that means we need your documents before the last week of April.

Most IRS notices are straightforward. If you get one, tell us. We can read it, respond to it, and represent you if it escalates.

Your Records Stay Yours
Tax work creates a paper trail you may need years from now. Here is what happens to it.
Standard files, not a proprietary format
Returns, financial statements, and the workpapers behind them are delivered as ordinary PDF and spreadsheet files. What we prepare for you opens without our software and without a subscription to anything.
Your records travel with you
If you decide to work with another firm, ask us and we send your documents and filed returns to you or to whoever you name. Keeping your own records is not conditional on staying a client.
Deleted on a schedule, not held indefinitely
Documents you upload are encrypted at rest and removed from our systems 90 days after an engagement closes. The same commitment is written into every engagement letter.
Never sold, never used to train AI systems
Your information is used to deliver your engagement and to meet legal and professional obligations. It is not sold, and it is not used to train AI systems.
Bookkeeping platforms and software subscriptions come and go. The records behind your filings should not depend on any of them. Full detail is in our privacy policy.
