Arc & Ledger was established in 2018 by Burak Genc, a tax professional with 13+ years of experience in taxation and accounting, including service as an Enrolled Agent. Originally operating as TACS Group, the firm rebranded to Arc & Ledger in January 2025 to reflect an expanded service offering including U.S. business formation for international entrepreneurs. Before founding the firm, Burak spent 8 years at Intuit working on TurboTax and professional tax software, followed by 2 years teaching taxes in San Diego. He holds a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and specializes in the kind of complex IRS cases, cross-border filings, and business structuring decisions where getting the details wrong has real consequences.
As an Enrolled Agent (EA), our team is federally authorized by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to practice before the IRS. That means we can represent you in audits, appeals, and collections, not just prepare your return. If the IRS contacts you, we can step in and handle it directly.

Each service is its own engagement
Tax preparation, bookkeeping, and advisory are separate. You pay for what you need, and you know the price before we start.
Work starts after agreement
Once you accept the scope and pay the engagement fee, we get started. Your position in the queue is confirmed and you get access to the client portal.
Everything is documented
All communication happens through the client portal. Your files, your returns, your correspondence – organized and archived.
